A Commitment to Worship
We believe that we were created for one primary purpose; to worship the Triune God. For us, God alone is worthy of all praise, honor and glory. We desire to accomplish this through every aspect of our ministry. Whether it is a Sunday morning service or a midweek youth event, we strive to glorify God in all we do. We recognize that our worship is not to be designed around the desires of men, but rather aligned to how God has revealed He desires to be worshipped. To this end we are committed to praising God with the best of biblically sound traditional and contemporary music, through our prayers, through the reading and proclamation of His Word, through the bringing of our gifts and through our unity and fellowship with one another. (Acts 16:25; Ephesians 5:19; Colossians 4:2-3; 1 Timothy 4:13)

A Commitment to the Authority of Scripture
We believe that it is our responsibility to live our lives under the absolute authority of the Bible. For us, the authority of Scripture touches upon every aspect of our lives and godliness. We desire to accomplish this by examining our lives and practice by the mandates and examples given in the Bible and readjusting our lives in accordance with the same. This will require a consistent study of the Bible. (Psalm 119; 1 Timothy 3:16)

A Commitment to Family
We believe that it is our responsibility to hold our families in the highest regard. For us, our families are gifts of God and demand our devotion. This stewardship is a lifelong pursuit of being fathers and mothers, husbands and wives, sons and daughters as God has designed us to be in accordance with His revealed will, the Bible. We desire to be committed to our families through our time, resources, energy and emotions. Encouraging and equipping strong, healthy families is a critical concern for us. (Genesis 2:4; Ephesians 5:25-6:4; 1 Timothy 3:2; 1 Peter 3:7)

A Commitment to Learning
We believe that it is our responsibility to promote the value of learning for our families and the individual. For us, learning is a matter of being a good steward with that which God has entrusted each of us. The more we know and understand of our God enriches our worship of Him. It is our conviction that we are to worship God from an informed heart. This will be accomplished through both formal and informal studies for both our church family and for the individual. (Deuteronomy 6:6-9; Psalm 78:4-6, 119:9; John 4:24)

A Commitment to Sanctification
We believe that it is our responsibility to continue to grow in the grace and the knowledge of Jesus Christ. For us, the on going process of sanctification is a synergistic work; that is to say, a cooperative work between the Holy Spirit and the Christian. Though it is the Spirit who works in us, God has ordained certain means to this end. Some of these means include prayer, scripture reading, meditation and life situations. We desire to pursue those means of which we are the initiators, trusting that the Holy Spirit will use these activities for our good and God’s glory. (I Corinthians 9:26; Colossians 1:29; Ephesians 6:10-18; Philippians 2:13)

A Commitment to Friendship
We believe that it is our responsibility to foster close relationships with those outside of our immediate families. For us, friendships are one of God’s gifts to us and should be pursued. We desire to cultivate close friendships with others with whom we may delight in life and the things of God. This requires time and energy on the individual’s part as well as a willingness to be a friend to others. (2 Samuel 1:26; Proverbs 18:4; Philippians 2:20)

A Commitment to the Community of Faith
We believe that it is our responsibility to be a member of a local church. For us, to be a member means to be committed to the ministry and the people of the church. This requires us to be actively using our gifts for the greater good of the church. This would be seen through participating in the ministry, serving in the ministry, praying for the church and giving financial support to the ministry. We desire to share ministry. We operate under a structure of Elders in a “Pastoral Ministry Team” who seek God’s direction for our church, and encourage people to participate in ministry to each other and to their community and world. (Acts 2:42-47; 1 Corinthians 12; Hebrews 10:23-25)

A Commitment to the Gospel
We believe that it is our responsibility to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For us, this means telling others of their sin and the salvation found in Jesus Christ who lived a perfect life, died, was buried, rose again, and is now seated at the right hand of the Father. This will be accomplished through our preaching, teaching, and worship being Christ-centered and through boldly telling others with whom we come in contact of the salvation found in Christ. (Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Corinthians 1:18, 20-25; 2:1-5; 15:1-8; Galatians 6:14)
