Our youth group called "4 Twelve", is made up of 7th to 12th graders, and is named for our deep appreciation of two challenging verses of scripture: 1 Timothy 4:12 and Acts 4:12.
Our goal is to equip young men and young women with the Gospel of Christ, so that they would be prepared to give an answer for the hope that lies within them, and to do so with gentleness and respect. As such, several youth participate in formal one-on-one discipleship relationships, and those that have come to faith in Jesus Christ are serving in the church by employing their gifts. We strive to follow the exhortation Paul urged Timothy with: "Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe" (1 Tim 4:12).
We meet on Sunday mornings at 9:15am during the "Equipping Hour" to study through the entire Bible using a 3 year curriculum published by Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, CA. The curriculum takes us from Genesis to Revelation.
Our group also meets twice a month for a midweek study on Thursday nights from 7pm-9pm at the church. Currently, we are discussing a video series based on the book "Don't Waste Your Life" by John Piper. Also, once a month we have a group activity for the purpose of practicing the "one anothers" as well as providing our youth an opportunity to invite unchurched friends to participate.
Each time we gather together for a group activity, the Gospel is presented as we believe "...there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other Name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12)
Please see our website "calendar" for upcoming events/activities.
